Single Life

      It's been what?, over a year now since I've been single, and I must say at first I was loving it
But now the loneliness is kicking in. I was contented, not happy but CONTENTED lol with putting the relationship stress on the back burner until I finished school. Let me add when I say relationship I don't necessarily mean a committed one (Not the 'I want to marry you, spend the rest of my life with you soul mates' bit). Just a companion; a confidant someone to freely exchange opinions, thoughts, ideas and experiences with without judgment- someone who will make you want to be a better person (NOT change who you are) and if there's sexual attraction, better yet!
     What can I say, I'm getting weak and reconsidering and redefining my entire approach. Another con of being single, besides loneliness is having random guys approaching you in fetes because they see you alone. Also, being a third wheel. there's nothing more annoying than watching a couple act all 'lovey-dovey' every minute. CHO! As for Pro's you can do whatever you like, one can never go wrong with that. However, it doesn't mean you have to lack class and consideration.

Life is a gift too precious to be taken for granted.
Too short not to enjoy every moment
Too unpredictable to hold grudges, because you may never get the chance to set things right.
Filled with too much beauty not to be explored.

Many have fought for equality and freedom;
Some radically and musically such as Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley
But many are still stuck in the era of slavery.
With oppression still occurring daily.

Why don't we take the time to count our blessings
In this world filled with so much strife and calamity.
If everyone lent a helping hand to someone in need;
stop being selfish and carefree,
the world as we know it don't always have to be.

We are equipped with everything we need
To give people of every ethnicity, class or creed
An opportunity to strive and succeed.
